Quick start

Open winnowTag in a second browser window, next to this one. If you’re not already logged in, click the link at upper right to “log in or sign up”. Logging in lets you see the public tags, create and share tags, and add feeds.

To view items, click winnowTag’s Items tab to go to the Items page. The sidebar on the Items page controls your view of items. To view all the items winnowTag has collected in the last 90 days, click “See all items” at the top of the sidebar. That’s a lot of items, but the list shows quickly because winnowTag loads items as you scroll.

Click any tag in the sidebar (left side) to see items (right side) that fit the topic of that tag. Items reload when a different tag is clicked. Click an item’s bold title to open and read the item, and click title to close. The “Next Unread” button, above the items, is a convenient way to read through a lot of items, automatically closing the current item and opening the next item for you.

After you read more Help pages and are comfortable using winnowTag to read items, try creating your own tags.
